Repurposing of production waste

Reproper turns polypropylene production waste into sustainable furniture fabrics. Why create something new when it can also be reused? The production waste such as face masks and diapers comes back as soft and strong fabrics, with the same qualifications as conventional furniture fabrics. Because no new raw materials are created, this saves a lot of environmental impact! So buying upholstery fabric feels good too.

Production waste as raw material

From nappy to upholstery

Polypropylene is a material that is used for many different products. Such as nappies and face masks. After production in the factory, the face masks and nappies find their way to the consumer. But production also creates a lot of leftover waste. This can be used as a raw material for sustainable furniture fabrics. With the same comfort, softness and durability as conventional fabrics.

Global Recycled Standard

Both fabrics from the Reproper collection have 100% recycled content. The fabrics have Global Recycled Standard certification. This certification offers you the guarantee that the fabrics really contain recycled materials. The fabrics acquire this (voluntary) certification every year. We promote the highest possible percentage of recycled content at all times.
