Event Recap: Shaping the Future of Furniture Fabrics Together
On 20 March 2025, La Défense in Tilburg set the stage for innovation, inspiration, and collaboration during the very first Fabraa Partner Event. Under the theme “Shaping the future of furniture fabrics”, professionals from the tech, furniture and textile industries came together to explore how we can shape a more sustainable future — together.
A visionary keynote with wit and insight
The event kicked off with a compelling keynote by Carlo van de Weijer, Director of the Eindhoven Artificial Intelligence Systems Institute (EAISI). With sharp insights and a touch of humour, he offered a refreshing perspective on the role of AI in our industry. Rather than seeing technology as a threat, he encouraged us to embrace it as a tool to build sustainable competitive advantage.

Closing with connection
We wrapped up the day with an informal drinks reception – a chance to connect, reflect and explore new collaborations. The energy in the room made one thing clear: the desire to take action is real, and we are ready to move ahead together.
